This is Reiff's French Terry pure merino sleeping bag made from luxuriously soft, 70% organic merino wool (kbT – certified from controlled organic animal farming) with 30% silk.
French Terry is a fabric that has one side with terry loops that creates extra insulation and warmth.
This is a lighter weight sleeping sack, perfect for those changes in season of for not so cold winters. Designed for comfort and natural thermoregulation, it corresponds to a TOG rating of 1, making it ideal for room temperatures between 18-24°C. The 2-way zipper allows for easy access, especially useful for changing or ventilation, and it opens at the legs for added practicality.
Merino wool and silk is naturally breathable, moisture-wicking, and insulating, helping your baby stay warm and cool without overheating. The fit is designed to be secure around the shoulders, with careful attention to the neck and arm openings to ensure safety. There should be at least 10 cm of space at the feet for movement, and the neckline should allow space for one adult finger to slide through comfortably.
Temperature:
The right sleeping bag depends on the sleepwear and the room temperature.
The TOG rating system can help you choose although Merino Wool's temperature regulating functions are not taken into consideration with the TOG rating. TOG defines the thermal conductivity of a fabric; the higher the rating, the warmer the sleeping bag. You can easily determine whether your baby is comfortable and sleeping in the right sleeping bag. Cool hands and feet are normal, but if they become cold and pale, it means they are lacking warmth. If, on the other hand, your child starts to sweat on the neck, the sleeping bag is too warm.
