Ruskovilla is a pioneer in the Finnish organic textile industry. The company was founded in 1981 and is today a second-generation family company.

Ruskovilla garments are made entirely in Finland, from design, weaving, cutting and sewing right the way through to the finishing touches.

Ruskovilla's products arose from people’s need to dress in breathable and chemically untreated undergarments in a world that is becoming increasingly chemicalised. The range is designed to be traditional yet modern.

Materials - organic merino wool, silk, silk wool and organic cotton - have been used as fibres for thousands of years, and the environment also benefits when renewable natural materials that return to the natural cycle are used in manufacturing.

Ruskovilla aim to make the entire production process as eco-friendly as possible. For example, they don’t throw away scraps from the cutting room; white scraps are saved, brushed, and used to fill bedclothes while coloured scraps are reused in oil prevention and installation mats.

Their garments are meant to make the wearer feel good. They are meant to be worn again and again, and the manufacturing process does not take unfair advantage of people or the environment. As a matter of fact, Ruskovilla are careful not to exploit anything - the earth, people, or animals.
