Merchant & Mills is a British haberdashery and fabric merchant that was started by Carolyn Denham and Roderick Field in 2010 with the "intention of bringing style and purpose to the overlooked world of sewing". Their collection of beautiful fabrics, sewing notions and patterns give us all the chance to experience the feeling of a local haberdashery and cloth merchant where the home seamstress could go to procure cloth for the household economy. Today, as many of us come back to the idea of respecting the craft and value of fabric and clothing construction, we can get a taste of the rich history of clothing design simply by using the beautiful tools created by Merchant and Mills today.
Woollykins carries a small range of Merchant and Mills notions to complement our fabric repair and mending kits. We also value their ethical sourcing of European Linen fabrics and source our UMIFORM linen fabrics directly from Merchant & Mills in small quantities - off cuts of which go into our mending and textile repair kits.
