FUB is a Danish Knitwear Label that designs unisex pieces for children age 0-12 yrs and a classic range for Women. FUB has chosen the best fibres without any harmful chemicals such as synthetic fertilisers, pesticides or defoliants which result in healthier products and a more sustainable environment. FUB choose only 100% OEKO-TEX® certified non-mulesed merino wool. They believe that children like to wear clothes that feel good and do not limit them whether they climb trees, build wood houses or explore other adventures. FUB's knitwear is perfectly crafted with a timeless design that will last a lifetime or at least a childhood.
About FUB's materials:
FUB select the best raw materials and production methods. In the dyeing process they only use dyes that are metal free and low impact dyes that meet strict environmental guidelines.
Wool: 100% OEKO-TEX® certified non-mulesed merino wool. By farming sheep the land can naturally regenerate and sustain itself and the sheep are managed without being fed modified feeds. In the production process the wool is not dipped in harmful chemicals, which mean that humans, animals, the land and water supplies are not contaminated. FUB has chosen the best and softest wool that has many characteristics. It keeps the child warm and at the same time it draws sweat away from the skin and retains the moisture and the clothing still feels dry to the touch. FUB's merino wool comes from Australia and South Africa.
From their AW22 season onwards, FUB no longer use Superwash wool in their clothing range, opting for the safer Plasma non-chemical process. Thanks to FUB for listening and responding to ours and other customer's petitions to move away from this damaging treatment. N.B Only the FUB socks will remain Superwash treated which we will allow due to the fact that many people prefer to be able to machine wash their socks.
About FUB's production:
FUB's socks and tights are made in Poland and FUB's knitwear is made by highly skilled knitters in China. A word from FUB about their production: "Please let me try to explain to you how confident we are with the ethical and environmental issues related to producing knitwear in China. We have been working with the same manufacturer since the very beginning – 19 years now. He is Hong Kong Chinese and his business is located in the Southern part of China. We have visited the factory several times and can vouch for his integrity and his production methods, which can be compared to EU standards. His workers have the best conditions and many of them have been part of his business for many years. They are highly skilled and carefully trained to operate the German knitting machines used to produce the high-quality knitwear that our manufacturer specializes in. In cooperation with our manufacturer we are striving to keep up with the standards for sustainable textile production."
