The mission
The reNEWool mission is to keep Woollykins garments in circulation, raise awareness about the value of caring for and mending textiles, make quality Woollykins clothing accessible to more families and raise money for local environmental and social causes.
Woollykins customers can now return pre-Loved Woollykins garments for store credit. Your garments will be renewed by us and go on to keep another family healthy and warm.
We offer you a percentage of what you paid for the garment as points based on its condition. The points can be then redeemed against future orders.
1 point = $1 (AUD).
The reNEWool Shop features a collection of Samples& Seconds and Pre-loved pieces that have been Mendedor turned into a You Mend It! kit for customers to mend themselves.
How many points $ will I earn?
30% - UNUSED/NEW- Unworn with or without tags. For these items you will receive 30% of the original purchase price.
25% - PRE-LOVED - As New - Minor signs of wear. After a little reconditioning, we will list the item for re-sale on our website. For these items you will receive 25% of the original purchase price.
20% - PRE-LOVED - Very Good - Slight signs of wear, possibly requiring mending. We will direct these items to our in-house mender and list the item on the store for re-sale as MENDED. For these items you will receive 20% of the original purchase price.
15% - PRE-LOVED - Good- Worn with noticable signs of wear (such as worn areas, holes etc). These items will need further repair using materials we provide. We will assemble a YOU MEND IT kit for someone to purchase as a mending project. For these items you will receive 15% of the original purchase price.
5% - WOOL SALVAGE - Strong signs of use, beyond feasible repair but too good for the worms. We will re-use any component we can - turning it into patches for our *Darn it! Mend it.* kits. Any textile waste will be sustainably disposed of - most likely into our compost or sent for recycling. You will receive 5% of the original purchase price.
How can I participate?
JOIN NOW
Firstly, you will need to Create a Woollykins account so you can collect your reNEWool points. Login or sign up at the RENEWOOL Tab at the bottom of the screen to join.
Next, Submit a reNEWool garment return (free)to let us know that you will be returning garments to us and generate an order number.
Finally, send your CLEAN unwanted Woollykins items to us with your order number.
When they arrive we will freeze them for moth control for 1-2 weeks and then determine their condition. Once the condition has been established, your reNEWool account will be credited with your store credit points and we'll email you to tell you.
GUIDELINES FOR RETURNING GARMENTS We'd love to rescue all the Woollykins, however our small team puts great care into mending and restoring each piece to ensure it will be cherished again. To help us maintain this standard, we have a few guidelines in place for what we can and can't manage. Thank you for your support!

If you have any of the above, don't despair!
If you've purchased these items from Woollykins chances are they are made from 100% organic natural fibres which means that they can be composted safely and will return nutrients to the soil. Cut them up and compost as much of the garment as possible (worms love it!) and let's keep clothing out of landfill (where no worms reside).
