fairechild products are certified to GLOBAL RECYCLING STANDARD (GRS) which confirms their products are made from POST CONSUMER Waste. This is important as some "recycled" fabrics are made from virgin plastic bottles and as such are not recycled at all. 

We're super proud to welcome fairechild Makewear to the Woollykins collection. We first came across fairechild when Tabitha launched her Kickstarter campaign to turn her low impact outerwear dreams a reality.

MEET TABITHA OSLER, founder of fairechild:

"I am an advocate for getting outside. An ambassador for puddle jumping, if you will. But those aren’t the only hats I wear. I am also a designer and most importantly, a mother. As a parent myself, I know that we all want the best for our children. This includes a world with bounties of food, natural resources and access to clean water. 

With all this in mind I created fairechild. I know there is urgent change needed in the fashion industry and I wanted to help other parents and kids be able to play, explore and fall in love with their natural world. I have designed waterproof garments that allow children to be outdoors - everyday, all day, whatever the weather – and I have done it in the most transparent way possible. All this so you can be confident that your fairechild rain wear is kind to kids, parents and the planet."

The process finishes when the garment is returned to fairechild for recycling at the end of its useful life.
