  • Wool Nappy Booster Pad (2 pack)

So happy to have these back in the range! After a long search we have finally found another supplier of these useful liners. Great for heavy wetters and for overnight use. Place inside your usual night nappy, against the skin to give baby that "feel dry" feeling. The wool wicks moisture away from the skin and increases absorbency in the night nappy. These boosters come in a 2 pack and are made from three layers of finely knitted 100% organic merino wool. Made by Ruskovilla Finland

They work with any cloth nappy system - particularly great with our Disana tie-on nappy system -  these wool nappy boosters will keep your bub feeling dry and comfortable throughout the day and night. They can also be lanolised and used as an extra waterproof layer between the nappy and the wool cover. They would also be a great way of increasing the effectiveness of our fine Engel wool nappy pants which are a very light/trim nappy cover for the hotter months.

    100 % organic merino wool, 3-layered.
Place inside the cloth nappy for added absorbency.

    Size approx. 12 x 32 cm. 2 pcs

    Made in Finland by Ruskovilla

    Instructions for use:

Woollen Nappy boosters are used together with cotton nappies that are sufficiently absorbent.

Woollen nappy boosters don't need to be washed at every nappy change. If they are not soiled, then it is enough just to air them. If the booster is soiled however, rinse off by spraying and wash them with gentle wool soap. Stains can be removed with Sonnet/Disana's Gall Soap stain remover.

Sheep's wool contains lanolin, a fatty substance which chemically binds urine acids and converts them to lanolin soap. That is why any smell of urine disappears from the wool on airing. With continued washing however the lanolin is lost. For this reason, woollen nappy items and garments should be retreated with lanolin form time to time (after about every second or third washing). Please be patient with new nappy pants - the wool begins its work slowly, so on the first days of use some damp may penetrate through.

Note! If a woollen garment is not in continuous use, it should be kept meanwhile in a sealed plastic bag - the less desirable lovers of wool (moths, beetles etc.) are so fond of it that they might otherwise eat it!

Care: Air frequently - wash seldom - protect against moths

Wool is self-cleaning: it reacts with oxygen in the air and neutralizes sweat. Frequent airing reduces the need to wash your garment. Wash wool preferably by hand in lukewarm water. Use Disana's organic wool shampoo for wool and silk. Stains disappear with Sonett gall soap. Shape the garment whilst damp. The garment shrinks a little in the first wash. Protect wool against moths and beetles. When not in daily use, store it in a sealed plastic bag. Keep the product bag for storage.
