This sample sock was knit on 2.75mm needles using our all natural Sock Yarn in Wool/Ramie blend by Seehawer Naturfasern. You can purchase yarn and needles from Woollykins to make your own socks. 100g of our sock yarn makes 1.5 pairs of socks!

Well-known German knitwear designer Claudia Eisenkolb (also known as Himawari Knits) has created these slick, diamond-patterned socks for ITO. Claudia found inspiration in the attention to detail and stark simplicity of Japanese design. The result is simple yet beautiful, with geometric forms and thoughtful details including standout cuff-shaping and a purled sole for extra comfort. Gusset increases are worked at the same time as the heel, so no picking up of stitches is required.

1 x Wool/Ramie Sock Yarn by Seehawer Naturfasern here (100g, 300m, 3-ply, Nm 9/3, Needle size 2.75-3.5mm

Sample S/M pictured was knitted in our Wool/Ramie sock knitting yarn in colour 6/bordeaux on KnitPro symphonie needles size 2.75mm.

Sock needles:

• Rainbow Bamboo needles in sizes 2.75 - 4mm here
• Bamboo sock needles in sizes 3-4mm here

To knit one pair of socks you'll need:

• Pattern
• Yarn (1 skein of the 100g wool/ramie yarn or similar)
• Darning needle
• Knitting markers

Gauge
30 sts x 40 rows = 10 cm (4'') in stockinette stitch with needle size 2.75 mm
