Helix Short Jumper - 100% Pure Wool - Chestnut

New! A sculptural chunky knit jumper, knitted in The Woollykins Knittery - our very own Knit Studio in Castlemaine! 

The Helix jumper has a highly textured stitch pattern creating an armour-like, insulating and springy fabric, knit in a 100% untreated mulesing-free wool. This beautiful yarn has a more rugged handfeel than pure merino. The textural qualities are enhanced by the parallelogram stitch patterning along the body and sleeves, creating an undulating pattern. This yarn has great elasticity, firmness and recovery and is a sensory delight to our wool loving hands.  

Like the Moss Crop the style is boxy with drop sleeves. This stitch pattern traps pockets of air making it extra insulating. This yarn is spun and dyed in Italy from 27 micron pure highland wool and is untreated for felting, sustainably grown and mulesing free. 

Andean highland wool comes from a crossbreed sheep that lives at high altitudes over 2000ft in the Andes and is managed by traditional shepherds in the high country. The sheep is a cross between Merino and Corriedale and the wool has exceptional strength, elasticity and warmth.

Care: Air between uses. Handwash only when required. Reshape while damp and dry flat. Mend any thread pulls or holes immediately.

Garment measurements: taken in cm on garment laid flat (double for circumference). Tip: Compare to a similar style garment in your wardrobe. Measurements are approximate as there is a little natural variation due to the handmade nature of production and finishing knitwear.
