New! Soft fine rib thermal longsleeve top by Engel, now in lovely undyed 100% organic merino wool. Wonderful PJ set with the matching long johns!
We love Engel's thermal layers. They form a warm and comfortable base layer for winter or on chilly days in Spring/Autumn. The 100% merino wool is slightly thicker and therefore warmer than the wool/silk blend at 200gsm. Excellent breathable thermal underwear for hiking, camping and skiing, or for winter bushwalking. Temperature and moisture regulating. This comfy, very stretchy, warm 100% fine merino spencer also makes a great PJ top. Also available in matching long johns.

Machine Washable: Handwashing best but can be washed on a cold machine wool wash with a natural Enzyme-free wool shampoo like Sonett (see our guide to washing wool) - reshaping before drying is important to maintain length and shape with all wool clothing.
Care: Handwash when required. Try SOAK wash for rinse free handwashing - see Wool Care. Size up if you want to use your gentle wool machine cycle as shrinkage may occur over time.
Note on using machine wash: Wool washing programmes of washing machines vary massively, therefore we can not grant warranty for any damages. With regards to using your wool washing machine cycle always use cold. If you choose to wash at 30 degrees the machine will still rinse with cold water and this shock to the fibres can cause the wool to shrink.
IVN BEST is the highest ecological standard that can currently be achieved in the textile industry, taking into account environmental & social welfare. The IVN BEST certification is only awarded to textiles made from 100% organically produced natural fibres. The certification takes into account all the environmental effects of the entire production process, from production of the fibres to the finished garment, along with high social welfare standards for all companies involved in the process.
