Organic Indigo vat dyed wool silk socks. Knitted in Germany from organic merino wool and silk with a plush wool sole & naturally dyed with 100% organic indigo by UMIFORM in Castlemaine

Limited edition medium weight organic merino wool and silk knitted socks with a plush sole, naturally dyed with plants not chemicals. The socks have a plush knit sole - which is an extra strand of wool loosely knitted into the sole for extra warmth and padding. 

Natural dyes used in the 2024 series include: quebracho red, madder, cherry ballart, eucalyptus, logwood and indigo.  

70% organic merino wool, 30 % mulberry silk

Colour: Indigo Ombre or Stripe- Each top is one of a kind and will vary slightly from the one pictured - a small amount of indigo crocking is normal and will subside.

Our inhouse brand UMIFORM botanicals feature products that are hand dyed with plants not chemicals in Castlemaine in our home studio using tank water. All mordants used are continuously kept and renewed and reused in the next batch. Remaining plant matter is composted through the worm farm. All water run off goes through our grey water reed bed into a chain of ponds that waters the home orchard.

Care: Air to clean, wash seldom, handwash with wool wash only, darn for lifelong love. Make them last by airing between use, reducing friction with the correct fit and alternating use. Always dry plant dyed garments out of direct sunlight.
