New Vintage style FairIsle Yoke Sweater made from 100% organic baby alpaca. Designed by UMIFORM, our own Woollykins Women's label and ethically made in Peru in collaboration with My Alpaca Copenhagen.

The vintage style jumper has a cute high rib neckline and very subtle puff to the sleeves and a wide rib hem that falls at the waist. The sweet Fair Isle motif is based on a vintage sweater pattern first printed in Woman's Weekly 1946 and republished in 1972 in a compendium of knitting patterns from Women's magazines 1920-49 compiled by Jane Waller and then revived in a conservation project in 2008 by Susan Crawford in "A Stitch in Time" - An essential book for modern vintage hand knitters.

We love the fit and length of this sweater and how it falls at the perfect length for layering over dresses or higher waisted skirts/pants. Very flattering shaping with a neat yoke in subtle tones in a light brown fawn baby alpaca.

Matching accessories:  fingerless mits, handwarmers, legwarmers, neckwarmers, belly warmer and socks

    100% Baby Alpaca from Peru.
Oeko Tex certified - Class 1. RWS Certified.

Baby alpaca fibres are super soft and lightweight. It is known for providing super insulation due to the microscopic air pockets in the fibres, therefore it keeps you warm in the winter and cool in the summer. The same air pockets make the fibres feel as light as air and yet the fibre is very strong, meaning it lasts longer than most other similar fibres like wools, cashmere and silk. With care, alpaca knits become heirloom pieces that you will pass down through the generations.

    Sizes: S/M, M/L

Measurements taken flat across the front of garment. The knit is very stretchy.
    S-M - Length from shoulder to hem 54.5cm, Width 43.5cm, Sleeve 57cm
    M-L - Length from shoulder to hem 57.5cm, Width 46cm, Sleeve 59cm

N.B: Alpaca fabric behaves differently to wool and tends to "drop" a little with wear.

Colour: Monochrome (low impact dyes) with subtle details in variations of grey

Care: Air between uses. Handwash only when required. Reshape while damp and dry flat. Mend any thread pulls or holes immediately.
