*New - special edition colour in the Engel Cardigan in a thicker 290gsm 100% organic merino wool.

Soft fine rib organic merino wool thermal button-down top by Engel. At 290gsm, this long sleeve cardigan is slightly thicker and therefore warmer than Engel's standard 200gsm 100% Merino thermals. This piece is perfect for layering over Engel's wool/silk thermals and under heavier knits for ultimate winter warmth and comfort.

The straight, figure-playing cut has a v-neck and bordered sleeves. Fine mother-of-pearl buttons decorate the button placket. This classic cardigan is an uncomplicated addition to your wardrobe with almost unlimited combination possibilities and exquisite wearing comfort.

    Brand: Engel
    Designed in: Germany
    Origin of fibre: Argentina
    Country of manufacture: Germany
    Certifications: IVN Best certified
Fabric structure: 100% organic merino virgin wool 290gsm, mother of pearl buttons
Dyes: Free from heavy metals and harmful AZO-dyes
    Biodegradable: Yes
Machine Washable: Handwashing best but can be washed on a cold machine wool wash with a natural Enzyme-free wool shampoo like Sonett (see our guide to washing wool) - reshaping before drying is important to maintain length and shape with all wool clothing.

Care: Handwash when required. Try SOAK wash for rinse free handwashing - see Wool Care. Size up if you want to use your gentle wool machine cycle as shrinkage may occur over time.

Note on using machine wash: Wool washing programmes of washing machines vary massively, therefore we can not grant warranty for any damages. With regards to using your wool washing machine cycle always use cold. If you choose to wash at 30 degrees the machine will still rinse with cold water and this shock to the fibres can cause the wool to shrink.
