Original listing Information below:
100% organic wool Long johns with reinforced knees by Ruskovilla Finland. They are designed as a Winter cloth nappy cover but can also be worn simply as lovely double thickness warm woollen pants.
These long johns are great for layering underneath winter outerwear as a warm base layer and are also comfy on their own for indoor play. Merino wool is breathable, soft and pleasant next to the skin, absorbs moisture without feeling damp, retains warmth very well, and does not require frequent laundering. Some of the items might have double layer in front of knee.
Colour: Green
Sizes (fitted but stretchy): 60cm (0-9m), 80cm (9-24m), 90cm (2-3 yrs+)
n.b. European sizing 60 = 60cm = height/length of child. Age is approximate.
Made in Finland by Ruskovilla
Instructions for use:
Sheep's wool contains lanolin, a fatty substance which chemically binds urine acids and converts them to lanolin soap. That is why any smell of urine disappears from the woollen pants on airing. With continued washing however the lanolin is lost. For this reason, woollen nappy pants should be retreated with lanolin form time to time (after about every second or third washing). Please be patient with new nappy pants - the wool begins its work slowly, so on the first days of use some damp may penetrate through.
Note! If a woollen garment is not in continuous use, it should be kept meanwhile in a sealed plastic bag - the less desirable lovers of wool (moths, beetles etc.) are so fond of it that they might otherwise eat it!
Care: Air frequently - wash seldom - protect against moths
Wool is self-cleaning: it reacts with oxygen in the air and neutralises sweat. Frequent airing reduces the need to wash your garment. Wash wool preferably by hand in lukewarm water. Use Disana's organic wool shampoo for wool and silk. Stains disappear with Sonett gall soap. Shape the garment whilst damp. The garment shrinks a little in the first wash. Protect wool against moths and beetles. When not in daily use, store it in a sealed plastic bag. Keep the product bag for storage.
