Super Deluxe Darning Mushroom with Groove & Needle Case

Ken, our wonderful local wood turner, has made us a special range of mushrooms with hidden needle storage with a tidy brass fitting and groove. Comes with three quality John James Darning Needles and eco elastic & toggle. Made in small lots. If sold out, leave your email for a "Notify Me".

Handmade locally turned darning mushrooms made from hardwood offcuts and assorted recycled timbers. It has a flat stem so you can stand it up on your shelf between mends. It comes with three darning needles in a secret compartment in the stem.

This 3rd iteration of our Super Deluxe mushroom features a beautiful brass fitting with thread so you can twist open the stem and store your mending needles neatly within. 

The mushroom also has a groove to hold elastic around your garment. The groove helps you keep your working area taut. Itcomes with Italian elastic made from 50% recycled cotton & 50% natural rubber with a toggle made from the husk and stems of plants (50% plant fibre, 50% polypropylene which is used to bind the material).

Assorted hardwood timber offcuts include Red Gum, Vic Ash, Blackwood and others.
