An Australian-made delicate wool shampoo for the care of lambskins and other products made of sheepskin, pure wool, or wool blends. This wool wash maintains and enhances the unique feel of the wool fibre and is based on tanning technology to safely wash sheepskin without damage to the leather. It can also be used as a general low-allergenic laundry detergent for allergy sufferers and those with sensitive skin.
This wool wash contains a blend of tea tree and lemon myrtle oils which have been proven effective against dust mite and pet allergens. It is ideal for wool and natural fibres such as alpaca, mohair and wool/possum blends and has been found to reduce the 'prickle' in coarser wools and wet wool smell.
Use for medical sheepskins, woollen underlays, wool filled doonas/duvets, pure wool and wool blend knitted or woven fabrics, other natural fibres such as alpaca and mohair, and the following sheepskin products: car seat covers, baby rugs, floor rugs, slippers, crib liners, and even horse saddle pads!

Instructions for use: This product is suitable both hand washing and use in a washing machine. For handwashing, use 20ml wool wash to each 10L water. Handwash larger items like sheepskins in a laundry trough or bathtub, working the tepid mixture gently through the sheepskin for 5 minutes. Do not stretch. Squeeze by hand until clean, and rinse with tepid water until water is clear. For top loaders, use 20ml for a small load and 40ml for a large load, halving the quantity for front loaders. See our guide to washing wool for more advice.
Caring for your lambskin products: Regular airing keeps sheepskin products clean and fresh, making the most of lambskin's natural self-cleaning properties. If your fleece product has been tanned carefully, it is usually sufficient to spot clean or brush out any soiling from the wool to reduce the need for washing.
