Nami Gansey Cardi - 100% Chunky Highland Wool - Light Brown

Women’s vintage style cardigan in textured knit pattern inspired by the classic Gansey fishermen's sweater and made from 100% Andean highland wool. Designed by UMIFORM, our own Woollykins Women's label and ethically made in Peru in collaboration with My Alpaca Copenhagen. 

100% Highland Wool from Peru. Oeko Tex certified 100. 

Andean highland wool comes from a crossbreed sheep that lives at high altitudes over 2000ft in the Peruvian Andes and is managed by traditional shepherds in the high country. The sheep is a cross between Merino and Corriedale and the wool is characterised as soft and thick with exceptional strength, elasticity and warmth. 

Please note, this wool is fairly unprocessed and much of the natural lanolin remains in this yarn, which protects the wool and gives it that lovely woolly smell.

Measurements taken flat across the front of garment unstretched. The knit is quitestretchy. 
S-M - Length from shoulder to hem 49cm, Chest 52cm, Sleeve length 57cm
M-L - Length from shoulder to hem 52cm, Chest 56cm, Sleeve 61cm

Model Rose (with blond hair) is size 8 and wears the S-M from the very first version
