NB: wood is a natural product and blackens when exposed to moisture. This is not considered a fault. To avoid this do not leave submerged in water for long periods. Best to hand wash with warm soapy water and dry thoroughly. Not dishwasher safe.

To use: use the stain brush in conjunction with your Wool Stain Remover soap bar or Gall soap liquid: Wet the brush and stained area, apply stain solution or soap, and gently brush the area in the direction of the knit/weave. Do not rub. If spot cleaning - use a damp cloth to repeatedly blot out the soap/stain until clean. Otherwise, proceed to wash as per the garment instructions.

We always recommend handwashing Woollykins wool garments and knitwear. If using your machine only use cold and a gentle wool cycle - but all machines vary so be aware that shrinkage can occur.  

• To handwash wash, pre-treat any stains with the Wash & Stain Bar by wetting the stained area and gently working the soap into the area with your stain brush. 
• The proceed to handwash - Submerge in Luke Warm water with 2 capfuls of dispersed Sonett wool wash
• Gently squeeze & release the garment underwater, paying attention to any particularly dirty areas to release any dirt or build up. Do not rub or soak wool for longer than 20 mins.
• Rinse in clean water that is the same temperature as the wet garment and squeeze out excess water. If only washing one item, roll in a towel to remove excess water, reshape and dry flat. If washing many items, place all in a machine to SLOW spin only (no rinse) on 400 or 600 max revolutions. Then remove, reshape and dry flat.
• Reshaping: Pull garments lengthwise while wet to help the knitted stitches go back to where they want to sit and retain the garments length.
• Never use a dryer, dry over a radiator or dry too close to the fire as the heat will dry out the natural oils in the wool and it may become brittle. 

How to Spot Clean: place a small cloth under the soiled area and dampen the stained area - gently work the soap/stain remover into the stain in the direction of the knit or weave with your Stain removal brush - do not scrub. When the stain is released, place a damp cloth on top of the area and blot the soap out repeatedly until it is removed. you may need to keep rinsing out your cloth. When the soap is removed, press the wet area between two dry cloths to remove excess moisture and dry flat.
