Hand knitted Rico Sweater with double breasted yoke with coconut buttons in 100% baby alpaca. A timeless design, practical and super cute. Knit in a garter stitch this is a thicker knit stitch than a flat bed knit adding additional warmth and thermal insulation.

Baby alpaca fibres are incredibly soft and lightweight. It is known for providing super insulation due to the microscopic air pockets in the fibres, therefore it keeps you warm in the winter and cool in the summer. The same air pockets make the fibres feel as light as air and yet the fibre is very strong, meaning it lasts longer than most other similar fibres like wools, cashmere and silk. With care, my alpaca Copenhagen garments will become heirloom pieces that you will pass down through the generations.

    Sizes:  9-18m (80), 18m-3y (92)

N.B: Alpaca fabric behaves differently to wool and tends to "drop/stretch down" a little with wear, so it really will grow with your child without looking stretched out!

Colours: Light Brown - undyed natural alpaca fibre

my alpaca Copenhagen garments are handmade by skilled and organised groups of Peruvian women, following high quality standards. They train and work with groups of women, promoting better livelihoods for them and their families. They use only fair-trade practices.

Care: Air between uses, wash only when required. Handwash in tepid water with wool shampoo. Press out moisture in a towel, reshape and dry flat.
