Disana's organic cotton knitted nappies are just brilliant. Basically they are a flat piece of shaped knitted fabric with ties, one size birth to potty. No pins or clips needed, simply fold in half, wrap and tie on. This is a comfortable and effective nappy for day and night use. In the day time we recommend the Brushed Cotton Liners or Organic Muslin Cloths and at night we recommend using two muslin liners together or the Super Terry Nappy Liners for heavy wetters. Add a Raw Silk liner for overnight use against baby's skin to reduce any redness or soreness that your baby might be experiencing. The Ruskovilla Wool Nappy Boosters can also be used to increase absorbency in the "wet zone" or as a feel dry night booster as wool wicks moisture away from the skin and doesn't feel wet.
How does the Tie-on Nappy work? The nappy's stretchy knitted fabric follows baby‘s every move, keeping the nappy flush with your child’s body even when she has a really good wiggle. It is easy to put on; it is also designed to fit perfectly from the first to the last day your child needs them. That makes Disana knitted nappies far less costly than expensive disposables and other sized washable nappies.

Available in a pack of 5
You will need a minimum of 20 nappies for full time use with the same number of liners and approximately 3 woollen covers of the right size. This is definitely one of the most economical, ecological washable nappy systems on the market working out at less than 10 dollars per nappy including liner and will last until potty training.
The knitted tie on nappy with a weight of 85g can absorb and contain up to 100ml of fluid. It can be machine washed up to 95°C although 60°C is all that is required for soiled nappies to kill bacteria.
Some parents have cut off the ties in favour of using "snappy pins" those easy grip "pins", although we find the ties very easy. It's just like wrapping up a lovely little bundle. Highly satisfying nappy system for people who love beautiful natural textiles and utilitarian simplicity!

"I'm loving my nappies, and so is my little boy! I'm so glad I got them, and I love how quickly they dry too."
"Going great with disana, really like the stretchy factor, very comfortable on bubs, no rubbing or chaffing on her skin, I would recommend the nappies to anyone"
"I've had a chance to try out the Disana tie nappies (you sent me a trial pack to NZ) and I love them! Can't believe I haven't tried them before … they seem more absorbent and certainly seem more comfortable and better-fitting around my little ones relatively slim thighs than the nappies I've been using. You've just pointed out what the big difference is - the fibres draw the moisture and spread it evenly rather than wetting straight through into the wet zone, which is the big problem I've been having. The cotton liner was full, but the outside of the nappy itself was still dry - amazing!"
