No Rinse Felting Finishing & Wool Wash (500mls)

Felting Finishing & Wool Wash is an Australian-made biodegradable no-rinse wool wash and conditioner in one, suitable both for use in the felting process and as a general no-rinse wool wash, particularly where a garment is susceptible to pilling.

Based on Tantech's Woolskin Fleece & Lambskin Shampoo & Wool Wash with the addition of a lanolin conditioner, this wool wash is designed to relax the fibres at the end of the felting process. It uses a blend of nonionic surfactant and anionic fibre softener and lanolin to leave the felting with a soft handle and natural sheen.

This biodegradable Felting Finish & Wool Wash can be left in without rinsing it out for the following reasons: 

• it restores nutrients like lanolin into the fibre
• it gives the fibre more body and protection
• the lanolin inhibits pilling
• the tea tree oil & lemon myrtle act as deterrents to any little bugs or wool moths wanting to make a meal of the wool
• and antifungal tea tree oil & lemon myrtle also prevent mould & mildew

Instructions for use: This product is suitable for hand washing. Use 20ml Felting Finish & Wool Wash to each 10L warm water. For dirty articles wash twice and do not rinse out after the second wash. See our guide to washing wool for more advice on handwashing.

Instructions for use with felting: After the fulling process, place the article in a mixture of 20ml Felting Finish & Wool Wash at 20ml to each 10L warm water. Gently move the felt around to ensure all the fibres are saturated, then remove from mixture, blot dry in a towel and lay flat to dry.
