Wool/Silk FabPatches make it easy and fast to mend thinning fabric and holes in all your fine knit Woollykins garments.

100% mulesing-free organic wool and silk fabric FabPatches in a 160gsm weight fine jersey knit fabric. Suitable for any fine merino thermals like our Engel, Cosilana or RuskovillaMinimalisma wool/silk or 100% merino wool base layers and garments.

Stretchy knit black or natural Fab Patches are developed by Ruskovilla in co-operation with Finnish innovators Oikiat Design, and due to their adhesive surface, they are easy to attach simply by rubbing - no sewing required!

The best time to use a Fab Patch is when you notice the knit is thinning out prior to an actual hole developing. However holes can also be easily repaired. Mild fraying around the patch is a feature of the product.

Contents: 4-Pack includes two 7.5x10 cm + two 5x5cm patches.

    Colours: Black

How to use the FabPatch by Vaatelaastari  (full details) or see below for instructions.

Composition: Certified organic silk wool includes 30% silk and 70% wool and combines the best of both materials: silk’s smoothens and wool’s warmth.

    Made in Finland.

Care: As normal per your garments care instructions.

    How to use Vaatelaastari Patch?

    1. Gradually remove the fabric from the backing paper, avoiding touching the adhesive surface.

    2. Attach the exposed adhesive surface to the garment and gently pull out the backing paper while pressing on the Vaatelaastari.

    3. Attach the Vaatelaastari Patch by rubbing, preferably against a hard surface, for at least one minute. You can use a blunt object such as a spoon. Pay special attention to the edges.

    4. Your textile patched with Vaatelaastari Patch is ready for use immediately!
    • If properly applied, the Vaatelaastari Patch will withstand washing on many types of textiles. However, allow at least three days before the first wash so that the adhesive will have time to stick in place. The longer you wait before the first wash and between washings, the more firmly Vaatelaastari will adhere.
    • You can wash the garments at 30 degrees.
    • Do not dry clean or use detergents containing fabric softeners or vinegar.
    • Be sure to match the washing instructions of the Vaatelaastari and your garment!
